How to begin integrating your WMS and TI-HI database
TI-HI or Ti-High refers to the number of boxes/cartons stored on a layer, or tier, (the TI) and the number of layers high that these will be stacked on the pallet (the HI). It is commonly stored in an Item Master or Product Master database.
The below steps are optional and not required.
WMS Integration
WMS Inventory Report API
Instead of a full, all-out, bi-lateral WMS integration, Ware provides an API to receive inventory reports from a WMS. Please contact Ware about obtaining access.
Full WMS Integration
We integrate with nearly any WMS, but for the first stage of Remote Deployment, just send us a static CSV export from your WMS to our API, includingthe relevant columns of data that we need about your inventory:
- Timestamp
- Bin / Location
- LPN / Pallet ID
- SKU
- Case count (eaches)
After we deliver reports and data on this initial single aisle, we move forward with deeper WMS integration in a yearly deployment.
Layer / Case Counting
In order to deliver layer and case counts in the future, we need a static CSV Export of your Product / Item Master database so that we can access the 'TI-HI' measurements. We need to be able to do the following to provide you with this information:
- Correlate LPN to --> SKU
-
LPN 1234 and LPN 5678 are both SKU 001A
-
- Correlate SKU to --> Layers and Layer Height
-
Item Master database states a full pallet of SKU 001A is 10 layers high
—— if each layer is 6 inches high
—— total height of a full pallet is then 60 inches
—— if each layer contains 10 cases
—— then a total pallet height of 60 inches + full/complete layers = 100 cases
